According to the provisions of the “Instructions for Implementation of Biosafety Legislation”, published by T.R. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, food and food products must not contain GMOs. Furthermore, in this legislation, for the food samples to be evaluated, there are gene regions which are “Approved” provided that there’s label declaration, which are “semi-approved” provided that their content is below the threshold value of 0.9%, and there are “unapproved” gene regions which must not be contained. Analyses of all genetically modified organisms in the legislation can be performed in GMO and Biosafety Analysis Laboratory under TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

GMO and Biosafety Analysis Laboratory

In our GMO and Biosafety Analysis Laboratory;

GMO Screening: Yes/No analysis conducted to establish whether the
product contains GMO

GMO Identification: Analysis for identification of the genetic
modification contained in the product

GMO Quantification: GMO analysis is performed with Real Time PCR technique in the form of quantitative analysis of the genetic change contained in the product.In raw and processed food products, animal products, feeds and pharmaceutical products of plant origin;

Real Time PCR Instrument is used to perform the following analyses:

• Identification of Food Contents

• Soybean Analysis

• Determination of Species in Meat and Meat Products and Products
 with Gelatin (Pig, Donkey, Horse, Sheep, Chicken, Turkey, Cattle)

• Adulteration Analyses
